REFURBISHMENT OF GRADE 2 LISTED BUILDINGS IN EXETER
When the Grade 2 Listed, Old Alms Houses in Exeter were recently given a complete refurbishment, D and R Design installed the new double glazed Crittall and hardwood windows.
On the front of the building after carefully removing the rusty, old blacksmith windows, the new powder coated steel windows were fitted to the original bathstone surrounds. These were then expertly repaired by D and R’s experienced craftsmen.
Using very slimline, 16mm double glazed units and the very narrow profile of the steel, the new Crittall windows ensured that this historic building kept its original appearance yet benefitted from the much improved insulation.
